The Golda Meir Mashav "Carmel" International Training Center
MCTC MASHAV Carmel Training Center was founded in 1961 by MASHAV-Israel’s Agency for International Development Cooperation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs to conduct training activities in the socio-economic arena with an emphasis on gender equality. MCTC focuses on Sustainable Community Development, Innovation and Entrepreneurship and Early Childhood Education and Development stressing the importance of the role of women in global development.
Training activities are carried out by MCTC in Israel and overseas, long term projects and consultancies for participants from Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Caribbean, Oceania the CIS Eastern Europe and the Middle East. International High Level Conferences for Women Leaders are conducted biennially, bringing together prominent women from around the world to address global priorities.
With MASHAV's encouragement MCTC has continued collaboration with Palestinian, Jordanian and other regional NGOs and civil society organizations in the fields of leadership, economic empowerment, and health services.
MCTC cooperates with UN agencies and international organizations including UNODC,OSCE, ILO, UNESCO, UN-HABITAT, UNDP, UNWOMEN, UNECE, YABT-OAS, IOM, to name a few.
