The Center for International Agricultural Development Cooperation
at the Ministry of Agriculture
CINADCO was founded in 1983 as a unit of the Ministry of Agriculture with the object of serving as MASHAV's professional arm in the field of agriculture and rural development. CINADCO's training programs in Israel are held at two training centers: Kibbutz Shefayim and the Volcani Center in Beit Dagan.
CINADCO'S activities include creating projects for demonstration of advanced agricultural methods, and training programs in Israel and overseas that focus on areas relating to agricultural development: food security - subsistence agriculture, agricultural technological innovation, agricultural initiatives for rural development and peri-urban agriculture, supporting systems, administration of production inputs - water and environmental quality, handling agricultural produce and marketing, and more. The activity emphasizes demonstration and implementation at field level with incorporation of Israeli technologies and outputs, and development of the human resource. In these fields various and unique widely renown models were developed among them demonstration farms and training and excellence centers.
CINADCO cooperates with international organizations such as JICA, GTZ-Germany, ICRISAT, CGIAR, ENCER and many others.
